About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years preferred, but will accept 1 year with strong experience/skillset License: Active RN license (state-specific or compact) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NCC C-EFM (in-hand at time of submission), STABLE preferred Must-Have: - Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 - Comfortable working in all areas of the department - Ability to float within the specialty and to mother-baby/postpartum as needed - Proficient in the use of External Fetal Monitoring Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a community hospital setting. The unit features a four-bed labor, delivery, and recovery area, along with two triage/antepartum beds. The Mother-Baby unit consists of twelve beds and accommodates gynecological surgeries. We have a Level 1 well baby nursery primarily caring for patients who are 35 weeks gestation and above. Staff members are required to be comfortable working across all areas of the department, including labor/delivery and mother/baby. Candidates should preferably be trained in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) nursing. We conduct approximately 50-60 deliveries each month. The charting system utilized is Epic. All certifications must be held at the time of submission. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, and holiday shifts may also be required as scheduled. Travelers may be first to float within the department.
