Job Description

Job Title: Radiation Oncologist
Location: Ephrata, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $308 - $332/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Radiation Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Radiation Oncologist:
• Provide full-time Radiation Oncology coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no call required
• Participate in normal radiation oncology clinic operations and inpatient consults
• Participate in tumor board and chart rounds
• Manage treatment volumes averaging 14 patients daily
• Conduct approximately 8 new patient consults per week
• Perform approximately 20 follow-up visits per week
• Treat adult patient population in an off-site, hospital-based Comprehensive Cancer Center setting
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary support team including an oncology-certified RN, physician access assistant, dietician, social worker, financial counselor, and experienced radiation therapists
• Utilize EPIC EMR and Mosaiq systems for documentation and treatment management
• Perform and oversee special procedures including lung SBRT, APBI, DIBH, and related techniques
• Work with advanced equipment including Varian TrueBeam with IGRT and OSMS, GE large-bore CT scanner with LAP laser and 4DCT, Eclipse, and Velocity planning systems
• Collaborate with onsite physicist, dosimetrist, and radiation therapists
• Maintain Board Certification (BC or BE) in Radiation Oncology
• Maintain active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Apply a minimum of 1 year of Radiation Oncology experience to clinical practice
