Cleaner, Part Time – 2nd Shift The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, performing a variety of custodial duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services. Responsibilities and Duties Sweep, mop, and wash floors inside buildings Use light and heavy floor buffers and shampoo machines, including attachments, and vacuum rugs in offices and public areas Spot clean and shampoo rugs as directed Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows; wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior Wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, following standard procedures (damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, sweep/mop/scrub floors) Monitor possible defects such as clogged urinals or lights out, and report to supervisors Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved containers and designated collection areas Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and side walk areas at building entrances and connecting walkways as directed Perform periodic work such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing Perform any and all other duties as assigned Qualifications No previous experience required; ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision Team player with cooperative work style Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack vacuum cleaner Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, strong organization skills, high energy and endurance Compensation $14.45 - $17.00 per hour, depending on factors such as location, collective bargaining agreement, and experience.
