Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit serving cardiac and vascular surgical patient populations including CABG, ICD, and pacemaker patients
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Heparin, Diltiazem, and Dopamine
• Monitor patients via telemetry unit monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Operate equipment including Alaris IV pumps and wound vacs
• Float across multiple campuses as required to meet staffing needs
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, including working 1–2 summer holidays as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or multistate/compact license (must be verified active at time of submission)
• Minimum 24 months of recent experience in Telemetry/Cardiac, Stepdown, or Progressive Care
• Experience with ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) and pacemaker patient populations
• Experience caring for CABG and vascular surgical patients
• Cardiac drip titration experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation experience
• Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pump, and wound vac; Level II Trauma experience required; must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the previous 18 months; current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I Trauma experience
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
