LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Our OBGYN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care and clinical support within an obstetrics and gynecology setting, working under the direction of a physician. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic and quality patient care. Core Responsibilities Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and symptoms. Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures. Assist physicians with exams, minor surgeries, and procedures. Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the physician and within the LPN scope of practice. Educate patients on medications, including dosage, purpose, and potential side effects. Document patient interactions and care provided accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Handle clinically related telephone calls and triage patient concerns according to office protocols. Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and maintain a safe, sterile environment. Reinforce patient and family education, preventive health measures, and general well-woman health concerns. Key Skills and Qualifications Completion of an accredited practical nursing program and a current, unencumbered state LPN license are required. Proficiency in basic medical procedures and the ability to assist with specialized gynecological/obstetrical procedures. Compassion, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
