Site Wentworth‑Douglass Hospital, part of MassGeneralBrigham Job Summary Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients’ clinical decision‑making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. $5,000 sign‑on bonus available (current WDH RN’s NOT eligible). Essential Functions Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Record patients’ medical information and vital signs. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions. Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN – State License); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP) preferred; Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS) preferred. Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0‑1 year required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with practical nursing principles and skills; knowledge of age‑specific care; ability to maintain confidentiality; knowledge of medical terminology; excellent verbal and communication skills; ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients. Additional Job Details Full‑time night position on 4G, a busy Med/Surg/Tele unit. Opportunity to expand nursing skills with medical and telemetry care and interventions. 36 scheduled weekly hours. Night shift. Remote type onsite work; location 789 Central Avenue. Benefits 5‑6:1 RN ratio for med/surg telemetry patients. Designated clinical educator and house‑wide night shift clinical educator. Day/Night clinical practice leader. Clinical coach. Resource RN with minimal patient assignment. Designated LNA per shift. Self‑scheduling opportunity. Weekend differential; every other weekend a month commitment. Compensation Pay range: Grade6NTEMP (details based on qualifications and experience).
