Quality Technician II

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Technician II to support post‑market complaint handling activities within Boston Scientific’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) division in Arden Hills, MN. This role focuses on investigating returned pacemakers and performing detailed analyses based on reported product complaints to ensure accuracy, compliance, and patient safety. The technician will work within a collaborative team of approximately 20 individuals, including an immediate team of about 10, and will partner closely with cross‑functional groups such as R&D and Manufacturing. This position is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and well‑suited for candidates with technical aptitude and experience in regulated or quality‑focused environments.

Skills and Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Receive and verify returned pacemakers and product complaints

• Perform initial investigations and root‑cause testing on returned devices

• Accurately document investigation findings in the GCMS complaint database

• Ensure product traceability for all products received and analyzed

• Partner with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, etc.) to gather information needed to complete investigations

• Follow up with CMC to confirm accurate complaint coding and request additional information when needed

• Prepare and route complaints for approval after confirming all required analysis and documentation are complete

• Assist with maintaining and updating returned‑product test procedures

• Identify opportunities to improve complaint‑handling processes and workflows

• Maintain lab cleanliness and operate in compliance with corporate procedures and quality standards

• Complete all required training and ensure training documentation is up to date

Must Haves:

• Associate degree (AA) in Electronics or equivalent related experience

• 1+ year of relevant technical, quality, or lab experience

• Experience working in a regulated or quality‑driven environment

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Solid technical writing skills

• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work under close to moderate supervision

• Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally in a team environment Nice to Haves:

• Experience with medical device complaint handling or investigations

• Experience using complaint management systems (e.g., GCMS, TrackWise)

• Understanding of basic electrical principles

• Hands‑on experience with electrical test equipment such as:

○ Oscilloscopes

○ Digital multimeters

○ Power supplies

○ Spectrum analyzers

○ Source meters

• Experience supporting root‑cause analysis or failure investigations
