Job Title: Assembler Job Description

This role focuses on assembling flatbed and panel trailers in a large manufacturing environment. You will perform hands-on work that includes basic electrical, plumbing, and flooring tasks while using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices. The position requires accurate measurement, solid math skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally throughout the shift. You will contribute directly to building high-quality trailers used across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble flatbed and panel trailers according to production requirements and quality standards.

  • Perform basic electrical tasks as part of the trailer assembly process.

  • Complete basic plumbing work associated with trailer builds.

  • Install and finish basic flooring components on trailers.

  • Use tape measures to take accurate measurements and verify component dimensions.

  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly work.

  • Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure proper construction.

  • Work on an assembly line and in general production areas to meet daily output goals.

  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, fastening, and aligning parts.

  • Apply strong attention to detail to ensure craftsmanship, safety, and product quality.

  • Handle general labor duties related to trailer manufacturing as needed.

  • Lift and move materials and components weighing up to 75 pounds occasionally throughout the shift.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency using tape measures to take precise measurements.

  • Experience working with a variety of hand tools in a production or construction environment.

  • Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and high-quality workmanship.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with mechanical assembly tasks.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.

  • General production and assembly line experience or the ability to adapt quickly to production workflows.

  • Solid math skills to support measuring, calculating, and verifying dimensions.

  • Capability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing setting.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in trailer manufacturing, mechanical assembly, construction, or a similar hands-on field is beneficial.

  • Comfort working with basic electrical and plumbing tasks in an assembly environment.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.

  • Willingness to learn new mechanical and technical skills and adapt to evolving processes.

  • Strong focus on safety practices and adherence to company procedures.

  • Reliability and consistent attendance to support production schedules.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large manufacturing plant that is primarily not temperature controlled, so conditions can be humid and hot, especially in the main assembly areas. Some work may be performed outside as needed. Employees work in a production environment with assembly lines, mechanical equipment, hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices. The setting is hands-on and physically active, requiring comfort with standing, moving materials, and working around industrial equipment while following all safety guidelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
