Job Location: Oxnard, CA 93030. Salary Range: $30-40 per hour. Packaging Engineer – Salary Range: $30.00–$40.00 per hour. Must be willing to relocate to Henderson, NV by Q1 2027. Overview Engineering packaging solutions for large machinery and components distributed to national and international customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and design solutions for packaging Haas machines and accessories for shipping. Follow direction of the management team to ensure proper design protocols and procedures are followed. Effectively communicate reasoning behind design decisions. Remain up to date on new packaging trends, materials, and technology. Create, administer, and implement Engineering Change Requests. Maintain a task schedule and hold deadlines. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in packaging engineering, industrial design, or related field. Understanding of the entire design process from concept, prototype, testing, and production. Desired qualifications: 1 to 3 years’ experience in the design of packaging for national and international shipping. Education: Four‑year college or university degree required, plus related experience, training, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred majors: Industrial Engineering Packaging Science Manufacturing Engineering Minimum years of experience: 0–1 year Required Skills Reading, analyzing, and interpreting business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations in English. Writing analytical or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and instructional materials. Speaking effectively before groups, customers, employees, or the general public. Calculating figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; applying arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Applying principles of logical and scientific thinking; dealing with nonverbal symbolism, formulas, equations, graphs, etc. Physical Demands Typical activities: sitting, standing, walking, bending (neck and waist), squatting, twisting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder, repetitive hand use, simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Lifting: 0–10 lbs frequently; 11–25 lbs frequently; 26–50 lbs frequently; 51–60 lbs occasionally; 61+ lbs occasionally. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment. Equipment: computer with monitor, keyboard, mouse, trackball, touchpad used frequently. Work Environment Noise level: loud.
