Job Requirements

• Board certification required
• Active Virginia medical license required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Clean malpractice history required
• Self-Query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation
• Available for the listed coverage dates with no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiology experience required
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide interventional cardiology coverage for inpatient and on-call needs
• Perform procedures including balloon angioplasty, coronary angioplasty, PCI, heart catheterization, coronary angiograms, embolic protection, carotid artery stenting, and atherectomy
• Support the medical management of vascular disease
• Respond to STEMI activations and other urgent cardiology needs as appropriate
• Participate in rounding responsibilities when needed
• Collaborate with the cardiology team to deliver timely, high-quality patient care
• Document evaluations, procedures, and treatment plans accurately in the EPIC EMR
