Job Summary

As the Resident District Manager, you will serve as the senior on-site leader for a premier multi-unit corporate dining account, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and leadership across all facets of the business. This highly visible role is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences, driving financial performance, cultivating client relationships, and developing high-performing teams.

The Resident District Manager serves as the primary liaison between the client and operational teams, ensuring service excellence, innovation, and consistent execution across dining venues, catering operations, retail offerings, and workplace hospitality programs. The successful candidate will combine strong business acumen with a passion for people, creating an environment where employees thrive, guests are delighted, and client expectations are consistently exceeded.

Responsibilities

Client Partnership & Strategic Leadership

Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, fostering collaborative and trusted partnerships.
Lead strategic planning efforts that align operational objectives with client goals and organizational priorities.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall dining and hospitality experience.
Represent the organization as a brand ambassador at client meetings, community events, and key stakeholder engagements.
Identify opportunities for business growth, service enhancements, and account retention while supporting contract renewals and rebid processes.

Operational Excellence

Provide leadership and oversight for all dining, catering, retail, and hospitality operations within the account.
Establish and maintain exceptional standards for food quality, service delivery, safety, and guest satisfaction.
Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
Ensure compliance with all company, client, local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
Conduct operational audits and assessments to maintain consistency, accountability, and regulatory compliance.

Financial Management

Maintain full accountability for account profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
Analyze key operational and financial metrics to identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and enhanced efficiency.
Manage labor, purchasing, inventory, and operating expenses to achieve business objectives while maintaining service excellence.
Collaborate with regional leadership to develop and execute annual business plans and financial strategies.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of all reporting, forecasting, and budget management processes.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of managers and frontline associates across multiple locations and service platforms.
Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, transparency, and continuous learning.
Conduct performance evaluations, coaching conversations, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
Build strong leadership pipelines by identifying and developing future talent within the organization.
Promote a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, innovation, safety, and operational excellence.

Hospitality & Guest Experience

Champion a hospitality-driven culture that prioritizes exceptional customer experiences.
Partner with culinary, nutrition, marketing, and operational teams to enhance dining programs and service offerings.
Utilize guest feedback and performance data to improve satisfaction, engagement, and overall service quality.
Ensure all dining experiences reflect the client's culture, values, and workplace environment.

Qualifications

Education and experience requirements consistent with applicable industry and operational standards.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing large-scale foodservice, hospitality, or multi-unit service operations.
Proven ability to build strong client relationships and lead high-performing teams.
Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational performance metrics.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Foodservice Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within corporate dining, hospitality, foodservice, or support services.
Proven success managing complex operations while delivering exceptional client and guest experiences.
Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing P&L performance, labor management, and cost controls.
Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated success developing teams and creating inclusive, high-performance workplace cultures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, foodservice management systems, and point-of-sale platforms.
