Family Medicine Physician Opportunity in St. Ansgar, Iowa

Join a Thriving Practice

• Engage in a bustling practice with immediate patient volume.
• Provide comprehensive care in an outpatient clinic located in St. Ansgar, along with inpatient rounding and emergency services in Osage.
• Become part of a collaborative team consisting of 5 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers across two clinics.
• Care for patients from newborns to seniors, with optional shared OB care.
• Enjoy a flexible work schedule, with options for a 4 or 4.5-day work week.
• Access lab, x-ray, and pharmacy services conveniently located within the clinic.
• Work alongside on-site specialists, including a podiatrist, general surgeon, optometrist, and two CRNAs, with additional support from MercyOne North Iowa.
• Admit patients to the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital recognized as a Top 100 hospital, with annual admissions of 600 and emergency department volumes of 4,000.
• Utilize a wide range of services at Mitchell County, including general surgery, pulmonary and sports rehabilitation, speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, medical nutrition therapy, and various imaging services.
• Be affiliated with MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center and regional teaching facility.
• Eligible for NHSC site, PSLF, and Rural Iowa Primary Care Loan Repayment programs.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must be board certified or board eligible, with certification required within three years of eligibility.
• Graduates from accredited medical or osteopathic schools are essential.
• Completion of a relevant residency program demonstrating competency as a physician.
• Must be eligible for medical staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are necessary.
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
• All offers are contingent upon successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screenings.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive compensation package including a $250,000 bonus.
• Two-year income guarantee of $301,290.
• Relocation assistance of up to $15,000.
• Generous paid time off: 34 days when on base, increasing to 40 days when on production.
