An Asphalt Roller Operator is a skilled professional responsible for operating asphalt rollers to compact and smooth asphalt surfaces for parking lot construction and maintenance projects. Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate asphalt rollers to compact freshly laid asphalt.
• Compaction Quality: Adjust roller speed, vibration frequency, and settings to meet project specifications and achieve proper compaction.
• Surface Inspection: Monitor asphalt surfaces for low spots, irregularities, or defects and make adjustments to produce a smooth, even finish.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with paving crews, equipment operators, and supervisors to meet project goals.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance, including lubrication, and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Material Handling: Assist with transporting and handling materials as needed for paving operations.

Requirements

• Equipment Operation Skills: Proficiency in operating asphalt rollers and adjusting settings for varying project conditions.
• Experience: Prior experience as an Asphalt Roller Operator or in similar heavy equipment operation is preferred.
