Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: NY State license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Travel experience required Description: The role requires a registered nurse in the operating room. The nurse will work 36 hours per week. The operating room is busy, running late into the evening. The expected workload includes 50-70 cases per day. A variety of procedures will be performed, including trauma and general surgeries. The patient age groups will include neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The number of operating rooms is 15. Special procedures may include orthopedic trauma, neuro/spine surgeries, and robotics. The nurse will work within an interdisciplinary support team. Additional skills and experience in various surgical procedures may be required. Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
