Assistant Project Manager - Mechanical (MEP) Construction - COLUMBUS, OH RELOCATION

Our client, a reputable mechanical construction firm , is seeking a Mechanical Assistant Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer to join their team and support large-scale projects in Columbus, Ohio. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience on complex mechanical builds while working closely with an experienced project management team. Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers in overseeing mechanical scopes, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and procurement coordination Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams to ensure project goals are met Review and process drawings, submittals, and RFIs to maintain design and construction quality Track progress, update documentation, and help identify and resolve technical or field issues Uphold company safety, quality, and performance standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred) 2+ years of experience in mechanical construction, ideally on large commercial, industrial, or institutional projects Strong understanding of HVAC and piping system Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites nationwide Competitive base salary based on experience Career growth opportunities with a leading national mechanical contract Relocation assistance provided If you’re an ambitious Assistant Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer looking to advance your mechanical construction career on large, complex projects, we want to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Diamond Peak Recruiting
