IT Specialist / IT Support (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

A growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced IT Specialist / IT Support Professional to join their team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting end users, strengthening cybersecurity practices, and ensuring compliance within a regulated FDA manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other IT equipment
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, operating systems, and user accounts
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, VPNs, firewall policies, email systems, software applications, and system access issues
• Support LAN/Wi-Fi networks, servers, backup systems, antivirus platforms, and overall IT infrastructure
• Assist users with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, SAP, shared drives, and business applications
• Configure and support Microsoft Azure environments, domain control policies, and user permissions
• Manage onboarding/offboarding activities, including account creation, access management, and security controls
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers
• Maintain IT asset inventories, software licensing records, SOPs, and technical documentation
• Support conference room technology, video conferencing systems, and communication platforms
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, disaster recovery planning, data protection, and system validation activities
• Ensure timely resolution of helpdesk tickets and end-user requests
• Follow company procedures related to data integrity, confidentiality, GMP compliance, and information security

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT Support, Systems Administration, or Network Support experience
• Experience supporting users in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare, or other regulated environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of:
• Windows Operating Systems
• Microsoft Office 365
• Active Directory
• Azure Administration
• Networking fundamentals
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Firewall policies and security management
• Site-to-Site VPN/Tunnel configurations
• Backup and disaster recovery systems
• User access management and cybersecurity best practices
• Experience supporting SAP or other ERP systems preferred

Preferred Experience:

• Understanding of FDA computer system validation requirements
• Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
• Knowledge of Data Integrity principles, Audit Trail reviews, and backup policies within FDA-regulated facilities
• Experience supporting manufacturing systems, laboratory systems, or validated environments
• Strong documentation, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
