Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Cardiac Cath Lab RN Opportunity

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. They support diagnostic and interventional processes while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients before, during, and after procedures within the Cath Lab.
• Administer balloon pump, Impella, Atherectomy devices, cardiac medication drips, and emergency medications accurately.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies, including STEMI cases.
• Collaborate with cardiology physicians and team members to ensure seamless procedural flow.
• Educate patients on procedures, post-care instructions, and medication protocols.
• Document all clinical interventions and patient responses thoroughly in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 18 months of recent hospital-based RN experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Balloon pump, Impella, Atherectomy devices, and cardiac medication management.
• Possess valid AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Exhibit experience in STEMI management and emergency cardiac care.
• Be flexible to float within scope as needed and willing to work on-call evenings and weekends.
• Meet compliance requirements, including valid licensing and references from direct supervisors.
