Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Network Architect with an active CCIE certification and a strong background in enterprise networking, SD WAN, routing, switching, and network security. This role is responsible for designing, supporting, and optimizing complex network environments while serving as a key technical leader for infrastructure initiatives and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will combine deep architectural expertise with hands on engineering capabilities, helping to drive network modernization, troubleshoot critical issues, and support strategic projects. This individual will work closely with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the enterprise network. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN and WAN network architectures Troubleshoot complex network issues across Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet environments Configure and maintain Cisco 3750X, 9200, 9300, Nexus, and FortiSwitch platforms Configure and support Cisco ASR, ISR, FortiGate, and Meraki routing platforms Install and deploy network hardware and activate leased WAN circuits Create, review, and execute network change scripts in accordance with change management processes Develop and maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and operational procedures Partner with security teams to identify, mitigate, and remediate active network threats Participate in daily operational meetings and support infrastructure projects and deployments Key Requirements Active CCIE certification required or scheduled exam with demonstrated CCIE level expertise Minimum 5 years of network architecture experience in enterprise environments Minimum 5 years of experience within Information Systems, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated industry Minimum 3 years of hands on Cisco networking experience supporting enterprise projects Minimum 3 years of SD WAN design, implementation, and support experience Strong expertise with LAN technologies including STP, EtherChannel, Port Channel, Dot1Q Trunking, VTP, 802.1X, DHCP, and DACLs Advanced knowledge of WAN technologies including VRFs, routing protocols, IP ACLs, leased circuits, AAA, and TACACS+ Experience designing IP addressing schemes and troubleshooting wireless network environments including 802.11 technologies Experience configuring and supporting SNMP monitoring, logging, and network performance management solutions Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical training Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office applications Excellent documentation, communication, and customer service skills Strong ownership mentality with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and operational priorities Ability to travel up to 10% annually for deployment activities within the Middle Tennessee region Why Apply Opportunity to work on complex enterprise networking and infrastructure initiatives High visibility role with significant impact on network performance, reliability, and security Collaborative environment that values technical expertise, accountability, and continuous improvement Exposure to modern networking technologies across Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and SD WAN platforms #J-18808-Ljbffr The Intersect Group
