Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours Experience: Epic experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification required Must-Have: Minimum years of experience unspecified Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patients' situation. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. Receives all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participates in E-Verify. Acknowledges the contents of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices. May be placed on-call if census is low. Requires floating to other units. Unit staffed 24/7. Uses a medication system. EMR system is converting to Epic. Pharmacy services available 24/7. Phlebotomy services available on the unit. Client transporters available 24/7. Scrubs to be navy in color.
