Full-time weekday schedule
No call or weekend coverage
Defined maternity-leave assignment through at least April 2027
100% inpatient Neurosurgery

Assignment Details

Start Date: Mid-December 2026
End Date: At least April 2027
Schedule: Monday AiFriday, 8:00 AM Ai5:00 PM
Commitment: 40 hours per week
Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-Based
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Call: None
Weekends: None
Patient Volume: Varies with hospital census
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 120 days
Temporary Privileges: Available
Travel: Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage may be reimbursed

Requirements

Nationally Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Virginia NP or PA license
Current ACLS and BLS
Active DEA
Clean background with no malpractice or licensure issues
Ability to provide full-time coverage through at least April 2027
Inpatient Neurosurgery or postoperative surgical experience preferred

Clinical Details

Provide daily post-procedural care for Neurosurgery patients
Complete inpatient evaluations and follow-up assessments
Communicate clinical updates to patients and families
Provide patient and family education
Coordinate treatment and discharge plans
Collaborate with an employed Neurosurgery advanced practice provider
No call, weekends, leadership, or teaching responsibilities
