Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, ARRT or CNMT, PET Must-Have: PET/CT experience IV starts & PACS experience Outpatient & Inpatient experience Description: 1st Time Travelers Accepted. The technologist will work 5 8-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, on a first shift schedule. The technologist will work at the Imaging Concourse Monday through Thursday. On Friday, the technologist will float to the Nuclear Medicine/PET department. Shift time Monday through Thursday will either be 07:00 - 15:30 or 08:00 - 16:30, communicated in advance. The shift time on Fridays is variable first shift based on operational needs. Exact time will be communicated prior to Friday by the lead technologist. The majority of imaging is oncology-focused. Included procedures are Whole-body FDG, Brain PET, Limited Cardiac PET, and Neuroendocrine imaging. The technologist is required to have experience in the following areas: Starting and maintaining IVs. Storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials. Whole-body imaging, including uptake scans and lymphoscintigraphy imaging. Interdisciplinary support will be provided. Patients primarily require oncology studies, with some neurology patients serviced. The work environment will include a daily patient census with a variable number of visits per day. The candidate must be compliant with all credentialing and fingerprinting requirements.
