Travel Med Surg RN - Night Shift

Location: Eastern New Mexico

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. Floating to other units may be necessary.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Travel Med Surg RN to join our team in Eastern New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be comfortable floating to ICU to manage step-down patients as needed. This position will focus on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in general medical-surgical settings.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in post-operative care for orthopedic and general surgery patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner and Mindray telemetry systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Med Surg setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Fingerprinting required for all travelers in New Mexico.
