Data Center Operations ManagerCGS is looking for a Data Center Operations Manager to perform data center operations servicing the needs of a government client based out of Columbia, SC. Here at CGS, we offer an environment in which our employees feel supported, and we encourage professional growth through various learning opportunities.Skills and attributes for success:Ensure 24/7 operation and security of data centersOversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of data center infrastructureMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actionsDevelop, implement, and enforce data center policies and proceduresCollaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support business objectivesDevelop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plansEnsure compliance with industry regulations and standardsConduct regular audits and assessments of data center operationsQualifications:Strong technical skills to include:Data center infrastructure and network technologiesHVAC, UPS, and power distribution systemsNetwork and server hardwareData center management tools and softwareCapacity / performance planning and lifecycle managementMaintain architecture diagrams, rack elevations, and network mapsLeadership and organizational skills to include:Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong project management skillsFamiliarity with industry and compliance standards and federal security requirements (e.g., FISMA/NIST, DOJ/USAO policies)Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsMinimum 5 years of experience in data center operations; ANDBachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; ORAdvanced certifications (e.g., Data Center Certified Associate, Certified Data Center Professional) preferredOur Commitment:Contact Government Services (CGS) strives to simplify and enhance government bureaucracy through the optimization of human, technical, and financial resources.
