Housekeeping Director Lead Housekeeping & Laundry Operations in a Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility Are you an experienced Housekeeping Director, Environmental Services Director, Housekeeping Manager, EVS Manager, Laundry Manager, or Housekeeping Supervisor looking for an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a healthcare setting? We are seeking a motivated and organized Housekeeping Director to oversee housekeeping, laundry services, sanitation, and infection prevention efforts within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This leadership role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff. Position Summary The Housekeeping Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing all housekeeping and laundry department operations. This includes staff supervision, infection control compliance, quality assurance, environmental safety, and regulatory compliance. The Housekeeping Director works closely with facility leadership to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and resident satisfaction are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee all housekeeping and laundry department operations. Develop, update, and manage the facility's master cleaning schedule. Recruit, train, coach, and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff. Ensure compliance with infection prevention and infection control standards. Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, laundry operations, and facility grounds. Monitor departmental performance and implement quality improvement initiatives. Oversee housekeeping supplies, chemicals, equipment, linen inventory, and departmental budgets. Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, state, federal, and long-term care regulations. Collaborate with nursing leadership and department managers to support resident care and satisfaction. Manage employee schedules, attendance, productivity, and performance evaluations. Maintain survey readiness and support successful state and federal inspections. Resolve environmental services concerns promptly and professionally. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience required. Prior experience as a Housekeeping Director, Housekeeping Manager, Environmental Services Director, EVS Manager, Laundry Manager, or Housekeeping Supervisor preferred. Healthcare experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), rehabilitation center, hospital, assisted living community, or healthcare facility strongly preferred. Knowledge of infection control, sanitation standards, laundry operations, floor care, and environmental services best practices. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and team-building skills. Ability to effectively manage staff and departmental operations in a fast-paced environment. Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
