About Facility 457 licensed beds Trauma Level III Teaching Hospital Chest Pain Center Stroke Center of Excellence Bariatric Center of Excellence Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Unit Information Minimum Years of Experience required: ED RN: 2 years ED experience (Resource Team) Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred but will consider (Resource Team) Patient Types/Common Diagnoses Trauma level 3 – GSW, Stabbing, MVA, Falls, Stroke, Heart Failure, Chest pain, patient requiring fluid resuscitation/blood products, COPD, Cardiac Cath pre, ETOH/CIWA, IVDA, mental health, Respiratory illnesses, GI Disorders and infections, Liver Failure, AKI/CKD Patient Ratios RN: 1:5 max (acuity dependent) Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance ED RN: Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI; Preferred: TNCC Skills required Trauma experience Stroke experience Cardiac rhythm interpretation Conscious sedation PIV starts Chest tube management NGT placement Drain/tube management Critical care drips Blood administration Support within the Department CNA – ratios vary Receptionist/HUC Charge nurse, 24/7 – may or may not have patients IV/VAT Team
