These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities Sets up and operates conventional and computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances. Fabricates, modifies, and repairs a variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. Selects appropriate materials, tools, and machining methods for each project. Performs precision measurements using a range of inspection equipment. Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to tool performance and manufacturing processes. Maintains and sharpens cutting tools to ensure optimal performance. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Strong knowledge of various machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM Expertise in the use of precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex tooling issues Bonus Qualifications Additional certifications or training Job Titles That Should Apply Tool and Die Maker, Die Maker, Mold Maker, Precision Machinist, CNC Tool Maker, Journeyman Tool Maker, Prototype Tool Maker, Metal Fabricator, Machine Builder, Tooling Technician Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
