Acquisition & PM Prof I - STDE/AI Analyst

Position Description Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Maritime Supporting high profile projects for the US Navy, you will function as the single point of contact for strategic program planning, policy, acquisition, life‑cycle management, research and development, and technical insertion into all existing and future Navy Surface Training Systems within the Surface Training Systems (STS) Program Office (PMS339). The role is hybrid in Washington, DC, requiring presence in the Washington Navy Yard with one day’s notice. In This Role You Will Coordinate across NAVSEA, TYCOM, NETC, RMCs, and OPNAVN96D on STDE data provisioning, Learning Center modernization, and AI/ML integration timelines. Support development of AI/ML enabled program office dashboards, briefs, and status products for PMS339, NAVSEA, and N96D leadership. Track and document AI/ML integration requirements within the Surface Training Program Interoperability Standards framework, including Data Lake standards, AI governance, and T&E criteria for AI tools. Draft and coordinate acquisition documentation (SOWs, justification packages, requirements documents) related to STDE and AI/ML efforts. Support Integrated Product Team(s) and Cross Functional Team(s) participation by preparing meeting materials, capturing action items, and ensuring STDE equities are represented. Maintain working awareness of GenAI.mil and industry tools to inform coordination efforts. To Be Successful In This Role, You Must Have U.S. Citizenship. An active Secret security clearance. A bachelor’s degree, or one of the following equivalents: a master’s degree with 5 years of related experience; 4 years of additional military operational experience; 2 years of additional military operational experience and an Associate’s degree; or a technical certification in lieu of a formal degree. Strong problem‑solving and intuitive thinking, capable of operating in ambiguity and devising novel solutions. Strong written communication skills. At least 7 combined years of experience in the areas listed below: Conversant in AI/ML technical vernacular, including LLMs, model orchestration, data pipelines, and xAPI, and able to discuss these concepts with technical stakeholders with credibility. Confident communicator in high‑visibility settings, able to brief and engage senior leadership (O‑6/GS‑15 and above) and flag officers. Experience supporting DoD/Navy program offices in a coordination or analytical capacity. Familiarity with NAVSEA acquisition processes or OPNAV staff functions. Proficiency in BLUF‑format emails, structured briefs, and status products. Ability to travel up to 10%. Additional Desired Experience Institutional knowledge of surface Navy operations, including familiarity with surface training, readiness, and manning at the waterfront, schoolhouse, and OPNAV levels.
