General Summary:
- Greet patients in a professional, friendly manner and explain procedures clearly.
- Produce high-quality radiographs to support accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain and update patient EMRs; provide copies of images upon request.
- Ensure images are uploaded correctly into PACS.
- Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance; arrange repairs when needed.
- Monitor radiation safety, protecting patients and staff at all times.
- Maintain proper levels of radiology supplies and follow departmental safety protocols.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver safe, efficient diagnostic imaging services.
- Follow infection-control, OSHA, and departmental policies to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with patient positioning and transfers to capture optimal images.
- Support smooth clinic operations by balancing quality standards with patient care needs.
- Handle occasional high-stress situations requiring quick, accurate decisions.
- Travel intermittently between clinic locations, as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma/GED required.
- Certification: BMO certification (required); BLS certification; state licensure.
- Experience: 1+ year in urgent care or patient care setting preferred; EMR knowledge helpful.
- Knowledge: Medical terminology, diagnostic imaging practices, anatomy, radiographic safety, and equipment handling.
- Skills: Strong customer service, attention to detail, communication, and analytical abilities.
