Qualifications Associate Degree from an accredited college or university; or Bachelor's Degree preferred; Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children to problem‐solve effectively; Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders; Belief in the commitment to increasing personal growth, both academic and social‑emotional, to obtain the highest level of achievement for every student; Knowledge of DESE Digital Literacy and Computer Science Standards; Knowledge of library management systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Library Tech – Paraprofessional responsibilities include: Assist students with accessing web‑based reading and math interventions; Catalog materials to facilitate the effective retrieval of information; Assist staff with accessing student progress data on web‑based interventions; Monitors student behavior as outlined in the Acceptable Use Policies (AUP); Provide guidance, communicate high expectations, and show an active interest in student progress; Facilitate critical thinking, problem‑solving, and creativity Reports to Principal/Assistant Principal Evaluated by Principal/Assistant Principal Terms of Employment / Salary / Work Year As negotiated by the Fitchburg School Committee and the Fitchburg Education Association (FEA).
