Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Nurse Nights, is based at an acute care hospital. This position involves providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, especially those recovering from orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures, as well as managing stable fractures. The role requires proficiency in telemetry monitoring and orthopedic totals and fractures management.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  Focused on adult and geriatric patient care, the MS/Tele Nurse provides comprehensive nursing services in an acute care environment with a focus on orthopedic and neuro surgeries, pain management, and stabilization of fractures.
• Schedule:
  Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  Valid BLS certification; NIHSS preferred. At least 2 years of nursing experience, with proficiency in orthopedic totals and fractures management, and experience within a hospital setting; Missouri or Illinois license required, or ability to obtain licensure; experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience in orthopedic surgery, neuro surgery, and telemetry monitoring is preferred.
• Additional Information:
  Heavy lifting and orthopedic experience required. The position entails floating within the service line, with competencies in managing ports, chest tubes, wound care, and more. Effective communication and the ability to handle multiple patient needs are essential.
