Your future role at a glance Location: Austin, TX Facility: Seton Women’s Hospital Department/Specialty: Women's Tower Schedule: Night shift | Full-time | 3-12s Sign-on Bonus Available! #NextGenHealthcare How you'll make an impact in this role Deliver life-saving direct patient care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, treating adults with acute and chronic respiratory insufficiencies. Assess adult and critical care patients, developing individualized respiratory care plans aligned with diagnosis and evidence-based practice. Implement and monitor advanced respiratory therapy modalities, evaluating treatment response and documenting outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, optimize ventilator management, and drive quality improvement in critical care settings. Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, medications, and post-discharge care to support recovery and long‑term health outcomes. Respond to emergency resuscitation codes, providing rapid airway management and critical respiratory support for unstable adult patients. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
