System Administrator

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Systems Administrator III (Validation Testing) - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract to hire position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ.

This role is for a Quality Engineer focusing on Wintel server operating systems, configurations, and VMWare virtualization technology within a cloud computing environment. The ideal candidate will perform virtual testing lab support and maintenance, conduct technical requirements analysis for testing, and develop test automation objectives. This position requires being onsite 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Perform virtual testing lab support and maintenance
• Perform technical requirements analysis for testing and test automation development objectives
• Develop and plan testing conditions, test models, test scripts, and test data sets during the Service Design stage
• Ensure adequate access is in place for successful testing
• Perform defect management during testing
• Evaluate results against exit criteria and prepare summary reports

Requirements:

• Expertise in Wintel OS server administration
• Highly effective working knowledge of Python, JSON, PowerShell, Ansible, and other scripting tools
• Proven working knowledge of cloud virtualization technologies, including an understanding of orchestration and workflow virtualization
• Strong working knowledge of service validation and testing process, Agile methodology, and JIRA management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand customer-based requirements and expectations
• Strong documentation skills and ability to drive process improvement
• Expertise in navigating/using Windows OS and folder structures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools: Outlook, Teams, OneNote, Excel, etc
• Must be able to work on a W2 basis without sponsorship now or in the future

Desired skills:

• Strong prioritization, problem-solving, leadership, and team contributing skills, while able to work independently
• Competent in DevOps CI/CD SDM workflow
• Working knowledge of industry-standard test management (Octane) and test automation tools
• Motivated, curious, and analytical thinker
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

Pay range: $50.65 - $58.65 per hour
