Comfort Touch Health Agency - Companion Aide Job Summary: Comfort Touch Health Agency, a leading provider of compassionate home care and companion care services for seniors across Long Island, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Companion Aide to join our team in East Meadow, NY. As a Companion Aide, you will provide emotional support, light physical assistance, and a comforting presence to help aging adults maintain independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities: Provide non-medical services, including companionship, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and running errands for seniors with varying needs Offer emotional support and a listening ear to clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive conditions Assist with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and errands, as needed Establish and maintain a positive and respectful relationship with clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other caregivers to ensure seamless care and support Use your own transportation to travel to client homes and appointments Requirements: Must have your own transportation Prior experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred, but not required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for seniors Ability to adapt to changing client needs and circumstances About the Role: As a Companion Aide with Comfort Touch Health Agency, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in Nassau County, NY.
