Personal Care Assistant - (Female Caregiver)

Location: Lexington Ky

Pay: $18 per hour

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday 8am-11am (6 hours)

This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy, understands the importance of dignity and patience in caregiving, and enjoys creating joy in daily routines.

Caregiver should be able and willing to assist with errands and transportation needs

Client Needs

Client has low blood pressure that can cause dizziness and has previously passed out, making her a high fall risk. She is mobile without assistive devices but often holds onto nearby objects while walking, so she needs attentive supervision and some mobility support as needed.

Primary duties include:

Monitoring for dizziness, faintness, and fall-risk concerns

Providing standby assistance with walking and transfers as needed

Possible shower assistance Light housekeeping and cleaning Errands and shopping support Active companionship and engagement

Being available to assist promptly when needs arise

Preferred Caregiver

The best match is a dependable, kind, attentive female caregiver who is active and engaged during the shift. Leslie values honest, respectful communication and wants someone supportive who can accept feedback professionally.

Caregiver conduct: Phone use should be limited to necessary work-related needs or emergencies; the client does not want a caregiver who is frequently on their phone.

Best personality fit: Warm, personable, communicative, and able to laugh and joke with the client. The caregiver should enjoy conversation, be respectful of the client’s independence, and provide encouragement without being controlling.

Client interests: Watching television and going out about once a month for a pedicure.
