Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantNextStep Recruiting is partnering with a confidential client to identify a Senior Accountant to support its growing accounting and finance team. This role will have broad responsibility across general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory, and multi-entity operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance day-to-day accounting responsibilities with process improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesManage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closePrepare financial reporting, variance analysis, cash flow reporting, and reconciliations across multiple entitiesPartner with operations to monitor inventory, investigate variances, and support forecasting, purchasing, and audit requirementsSupport audit preparation, sales tax reporting, AP/AR activities, and other accounting compliance requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiencyRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong GL, reconciliation, close, and financial reporting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles; CPA or MBA is a plusAdvanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similarExperience with multi-entity accounting, inventory, treasury, or multi-currency environments preferredNextStep Recruiting provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, or applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every location where the company has facilities.
