Senior Buyer - Strategic Sourcing (Raw Materials)- ONSITE

Yoh has an immediate, 13‑month contract opportunity for a Senior Buyer – Strategic Sourcing (Raw Materials) within the Advanced Manufacturing / Electronic Materials industry to join our client, OnSite, to report from their office in Cleveland, OH. Max Hourly Rate $50/hr. 40 hours a week, Monday‑Friday Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience, including at least 3 years focused on raw materials sourcing within a manufacturing or advanced materials environment Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. What You Will Be Doing Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, pricing drivers, and regional regulations to build smart sourcing strategies that create long‑term competitive advantages Use Laird’s global procurement processes, tools, and governance standards to deliver business results while keeping systems and data accurate and up to date Lead the development, negotiation, and ongoing management of supply agreements, considering demand forecasts, growth objectives, contract terms, pricing history, and quality and regulatory requirements Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Program Management, Quality, and other teams to proactively identify and mitigate supply risks and ensure supply continuity Drive cost‑saving initiatives and working capital improvements while actively managing cost pressures Build strong supplier relationships by developing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) plans for critical suppliers, promoting continuous improvement, maximizing value, and minimizing risk Who You Are Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain or a related field is required 5–10 years of sourcing, operations or supply chain experience including at least 3 years in raw material strategic sourcing role Strong negotiation skills & high ethical standards Good communication and relationship skills (internal clients, external suppliers) High degree of competency in data and value analysis, combined with excellent IT skills Good understanding of legal fundamentals (as relates to contracts) High level of understanding of supply chain fundamentals and the integration with sourcing Good understanding of finance fundamentals Good understanding of regulatory requirements Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities Travel may be required depending on project needs Benefits Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Benefits (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Health Savings Account (HSA) (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Life & Disability Insurance (for employees working 20+ hours per week) MetLife Voluntary Benefits Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Direct Deposit & weekly ePayroll Referral Bonus ProgramsCertification and training opportunities Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
