Operations Manager - 3PL Final Mile - Furniture Delivery

About the Job Operations Manager Role:
- The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit.
- This role will lead-safe work practices and lean management of the transportation and delivery function,
- The Operations Manager will work closely with the Contractors team to ensure accountability for inbound/outbound logistics.
- This role will be consider a Hybrid position Monday to Friday and potentially operate Saturday's during Peak season.
- Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Design strategy and set goals for growth.
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
- Adhere to policies and processes.
- Oversee recruitment and training of 4Pl Contractors.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
- Prepare regular reports for upper management.
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.
- Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
- Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long.
- Lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70 pounds each.
- Move up and down stairs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience with final mile deliveries.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal).
- Spanish-speaking preferred.
