Job DetailsRadiology | Dayton | Full-time | First Shift Responsibilities & RequirementsThe Radiology Tech II performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role is responsible for operating radiologic equipment, following physician orders, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.Required Education:Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (associate degree or equivalent required by state law).Required Work Experience:Clinical experience obtained through completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:Current Ohio Radiologic License (in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 4773.03). Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.Skills:Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminologyproficiency in operating radiologic imaging equipmentunderstanding of radiation safety and protection protocolsability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teamproficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systemsattention to detailability to follow instructions and protocolscommitment to patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.Competencies:Employee has basic knowledge of radiation safetyEmployee demonstrates understanding of the usage of equipmentEmployee demonstrates proper patient identificationEmployee demonstrates consistent hand hygiene practicesPreferred QualificationsPreferred Education:Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.Preferred Work Experience:One or more years of experience as a Radiology Tech in a healthcare setting.OverviewKettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio.
