Job Title: Project Manager Mechanical Design
Location: Arvada, CO Onsite
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong Mechanical Design background to lead engineering projects from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Autodesk Revit experience along with expertise in mechanical design, project planning, stakeholder management, and engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, milestones, and deliverables.
- Develop and review 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit .
- Conduct design, model, and milestone reviews.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, changes, resources, and schedules.
- Support effort estimation, budget tracking, and project reporting.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, schedule, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead technical discussions and provide regular project status updates.
- Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- 7+ years of mechanical design experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on Autodesk Revit experience.
- Strong 3D modeling and 2D drafting skills.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance stack-up analysis .
- Experience with DFMA, material selection, BOMs, and engineering documentation .
- Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and ANSI standards.
- Experience with PLM/PDM and configuration/change management .
- Proven engineering project management experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or equivalent tools .
- Strong project planning, scheduling, resource, risk, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent .
