RN – Labor & Delivery (Contract)

Location: California 95422 | Pay: $2,716–$3,040/week
Shift: 2nd 12h – Primarily Nights (1800–0630) | Occasional Day coverage
Experience: 3–4 years

Job Summary:

• Provide care for women from childbearing through geriatric years and infants up to 28 days.

• Supervise and coordinate care with other disciplines.

• Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.

• Develop individualized care plans and evaluate patient outcomes.

Education & Experience:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

• 3–4 years nursing experience; L&D, postpartum, and nursery experience preferred.

• Basic computer skills.

Licenses & Certifications:

• California RN license – required

• BLS, NRP, ACLS, STABLE – required

• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring / AWHONN Fetal Monitoring – required within 6 months of hire

• PALS preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications, IV fluids, and monitor patients.

• Provide patient/family education and support.

• Supervise, delegate, and coordinate tasks with healthcare team.

• Document patient care accurately in Cerner (transitioning to Epic).

• Participate in emergency care using safe and precise techniques.

• Maintain unit cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment operation.

• Comply with all regulatory and hospital standards, including TJC and CMS.
