Welder/FabricatorThe Welder/Fabricator will weld and fabricate a wide variety of metal and steel structures from oral directions, sketches, or drawings. Must be able to inspect your own finished welds to meet company standards. Additional responsibilities include loading and unloading shipments.Our ideal candidate will:Fabricate and weld a wide variety of metal and steel structuresAbility to read fabrication drawings, work orders, and complete standard recordsAbility to accurately and effectively load shipments for deliveryCompletes all reports and forms for service operations in a timely and accurate mannerEnsures manager is aware of any issues which can impact customer satisfaction or billingMaintains good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment, including the return of tools to storage areasEnsures all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamworkParticipates in all requested job-related training and development, as well as taking an active interest in improving skills with other training programsFollows all company and common sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipmentContribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as neededDesired Qualifications:Certified Welders are preferred, but not requiredWelding experience (Arc, Tig, Mig) requiredAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops (fork-lifts, grad-all, hydraulic lifts, etc)Ability to lift 50 pounds as required without assistanceStrong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplaceStrong organizational skillsAt Nix, we strive to ensure that our employees work in a safe and enjoyable environment.
