Cocos2d-x Junior Game Developer

Role Overview

Build and improve 2D game experiences in Cocos2d-x while contributing real-world game development expertise to the training of next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on producing high-quality technical input that helps AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine game logic, mechanics, and features for prototype and production-level Cocos2d-x projects.
• Collaborate remotely with the customer team to provide game development input for AI training work.
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot game assets and scenes for varied training objectives.
• Test, debug, and optimize Cocos2d-x code for reliable, efficient gameplay.
• Document code and processes clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Communicate project status and challenges clearly in writing and verbally.
• Incorporate feedback iteratively to improve deliverables for AI development needs.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Cocos2d-x and hands-on experience with 2D game development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a game development setting.
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams in a fast-paced remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including concise updates and documentation.
• Ability to follow technical specifications and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Understanding of game design principles and player experience optimization.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop in an AI training environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI training or data-generation projects.
• Familiarity with additional game engines or programming languages.
• Experience collaborating with AI or machine learning specialists.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $50 to $120 per hour.
