Ophthalmologist

Overview

We are a group ophthalmology-optometry practice with offices in Frankfort and Lexington, Kentucky seeking an additional Ophthalmologist to join our team. Immediate patient volume available in a well-supported practice with our own ASC and office-based surgery, an internal optometric referral base, and experienced clinical staff. The practice performs a high volume of cataract surgery and offers services in glaucoma, cornea and medical retina within the practice\'s established ASC. Our offices are equipped with multiple exam lanes and advanced ophthalmic equipment.

The successful candidate is a board eligible/board certified Ophthalmologist who will embrace the vision of this high-performing practice and demonstrate a commitment to its long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmology services consistent with the needs of a high-volume private practice.
• Participate in cataract surgery, glaucoma care, cornea, and medical retina services, with most surgeries performed in the practice\'s ASC.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of clinicians, technicians, and licensed opticians in a fully integrated EHR environment.
• Engage in clinic scheduling with appropriate autonomy in a well-supported private practice setting.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified ophthalmologist.
• Cornea fellowship and/or ability to perform intravitreal injections is a plus.
• For IMGs: the practice has the ability to sponsor licensure under Kentucky state law (effective July 9, 2026).
