Your work will help residents improve functional abilities, participate in meaningful daily activities, and achieve greater independence.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and address residents' individual goals, needs, and functional limitations.Implement individualized treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic techniques and interventions.Provide quality, personalized, evidence-based care based on each resident's abilities and goals.Support residents in improving functional performance, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and mobility.Motivate and encourage residents throughout treatment to maximize participation and functional outcomes.Help residents develop skills and strategies to promote greater independence in daily activities.Educate residents, families, and caregivers on appropriate therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and safety recommendations.Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.Monitor treatment effectiveness and communicate resident progress, responses, and concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care and therapy services.Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life throughout the rehabilitation process.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.Qualifications & RequirementsGraduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) program.Current and valid COTA certification/licensure as required by the state of practice.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Compassionate, patient-focused approach to resident care.Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based therapy services.Make a Difference Every Day.Every resident has goals worth reaching and milestones worth celebrating.
