Job Details Job Location: Marshall, TX 75670-3475Position Type: Full TimePosition Description The Direct Sales Representative is responsible for driving residential fiber internet sales through face-to-face customer interactions within assigned neighborhoods across Lyte Fiber's service footprint. This role focuses on acquiring new residential customers by educating homeowners on the benefits of fiber internet, identifying customer needs, and recommending the right connectivity solution. The Direct Sales Representative serves as a brand ambassador for Lyte Fiber while delivering exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, self-motivation, consultative selling, and the ability to consistently achieve sales goals while representing the company professionally in the field. This is a quota-carrying role with clear daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations. Duties and Responsibilities Residential Sales Execution Prospect residential customers through door-to-door canvassing within assigned neighborhoods and sales territories. Generate new residential sales through consultative, face-to-face customer interactions. Educate homeowners on Lyte Fiber products, pricing, promotional offers, installation timelines, and service benefits. Conduct needs assessments to recommend internet solutions that best fit each customer's household. Meet or exceed established daily activity goals, sales objectives, and monthly revenue targets. Utilize CRM tools and sales applications to prioritize leads, manage follow-up activities, and maximize sales conversion. Follow up with interested prospects through in-person visits, phone calls, text messaging, and email to maximize conversion. Consistently maintain a full daily sales pipeline by prospecting new customers and following up on previous opportunities. Accurately complete customer orders and ensure all required documentation is submitted correctly. Territory Management Develop familiarity with assigned neighborhoods, service availability, construction status, and competitive landscape. Execute daily territory plans designed to maximize customer contacts and sales productivity. Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and sales activity within CRM and company systems. Identify opportunities for neighborhood blitzes, referrals, and community outreach to increase market penetration. Adapt quickly to newly released neighborhoods, construction updates, service availability, and changing market priorities. Report competitive offers, pricing changes, customer feedback, and market intelligence to leadership. Customer Experience Build trust with prospective customers through professional, ethical, and consultative sales practices. Set accurate expectations regarding installation, construction timelines, and service activation. Help improve customer retention by setting accurate expectations throughout the sales process and ensuring a smooth transition from sale to installation. Partner with Customer Service, Dispatch, Construction, and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience. Address customer questions and resolve issues promptly while maintaining a positive representation of the Lyte Fiber brand. Generate referrals and repeat business through exceptional customer service. Community Engagement Represent Lyte Fiber at neighborhood events, community functions, HOA meetings, apartment events, and local marketing activities. Assist with grand openings, product launches, canvassing events, and other field marketing initiatives. Promote a positive brand image within the communities served. Professional Development Attend required sales meetings, product training, coaching sessions, and ride-alongs. Continuously improve product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and competitive positioning. Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and high level of integrity while representing Lyte Fiber in every customer interaction. Share field insights and best practices with teammates to improve overall sales performance. Maintain all required certifications, compliance standards, and company policies. Other Duties Maintain company-issued equipment, marketing materials, and sales tools. Safely operate a personal vehicle while traveling throughout assigned territories. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous sales, retail, hospitality, customer service, or telecommunications experience preferred. Door-to-door, outside sales, or commission sales experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable initiating conversations with prospective customers throughout the day. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Ability to learn new products, technology, and sales systems quickly. Comfortable working in a quota-driven, performance-based environment. Basic computer and smartphone proficiency. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record. Ability to pass required background screening. Physical Demands and Work Environment Majority of work performed outdoors in residential neighborhoods. Frequent walking throughout neighborhoods for extended periods. Ability to work evenings and weekends based on customer availability. Ability to lift and carry marketing materials up to 25 pounds. Frequent local travel throughout assigned territories. Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
