Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience in Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures for a hospital-based role.

Details

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving adult patients
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Performs Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures including bone, brain, liver, renal, and myocardial studies
• SPECT imaging including bone, brain, liver, and renal scans
• Sestamibi parathyroid scans and cerebral blood flow studies
• Lung scans including DTPA aerosol, perfusion, and ventilation/perfusion studies
• Myocardial stress testing including pharmacological stress and Persantine infusion
• Liver/spleen scans including liver flow, liver imaging, and hemangioma studies
• Renal flow studies with Lasix
• Tumor localization studies, limited and whole body
• Uses GE Optima 640 SPECT and Siemens Symbia equipment
• Epic charting system preferred
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine required
• ARRT(N) and CNMT certification preferred
• Fusion/PET experience a plus but not required
• Must be familiar with and able to perform Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures
• Experience with drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Active NJ or Compact license required if applicable

• Opportunity to work independently as well as under the direction of the lead Nuclear Medicine technologist

• Former employees of this health system must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
