Office Services - Shipping Clerk

Shipping/Receiving ClerkPosition Overview

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and tracking incoming materials while ensuring accurate inventory management and shipping operations. This role supports efficient warehouse logistics through inventory control, documentation accuracy, safe material handling, and timely shipment processing.

Key Responsibilities

Receive raw materials and verify quantities and product specifications
Load outbound trucks and prepare safe, balanced trailer loads
Complete receiving reports, receipts, and other required documentation
Conduct inventory checks, cycle counts, and annual inventory counts
Maintain inventory accuracy and organization
Follow established work instructions, policies, and ISO procedures
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external contacts
Maintain housekeeping and warehouse organization standards
Ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and on time

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations
Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and procedures
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Self-motivated, dependable, and resourceful
Basic documentation and recordkeeping skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, carrying, and use of hands/fingers
Ability to climb stairs

Safety Requirements

Maintain constant awareness of surroundings
Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
Wear required PPE and work safely at all times

Ideal Candidate

A reliable warehouse professional with receiving and inventory experience who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently while maintaining accurate records and inventory control.
