About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its leadership team. The COO will be a mission-aligned leader with a strong background in scaling operations, managing cross-functional teams, and driving impact in a nonprofit environment. Key responsibilities for the COO include collaborating with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, overseeing day-to-day internal operations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing multimillion-dollar budgets, leading annual budgeting processes, and supporting program teams in evaluating and strengthening program delivery. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and at least 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in organizational operations. The role requires a candidate with a deep knowledge of nonprofit governance, funding models, and executive leadership principles, as well as experience in organizational design, change management, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, strategic analysis, and fostering cross-functional alignment. They must also demonstrate the ability to promote ethical leadership, organizational accountability, and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds to support the company's mission and values.
