Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2+ years of RN OR experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must be proficient in neuro needs. Experience in scrubbing total joints and spinal surgeries. Experience in neuro and orthopedic procedures, including total joints, spine fusions, fractures, and craniotomies. Experience with robotic surgeries, ENT, cardiac, general, and pediatric procedures.

Description: Orientation is held twice a month. Candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years of RN operating room experience. BLS certification is required. Shifts are 10 or 12 hours on weekdays with rotational call on nights and weekends. There will be 6-8 weekend call shifts and 1 weekday call shift per week. Candidates must be proficient in all neuro needs at a 3 or 4 skill level. Submitting candidates with more than 7 days of requested time off is not accepted. Blocked scheduling requests will not be accommodated. Local candidates will not be considered. Experience with EPIC charting system is required. Current experience in scrubbing total joints and spines is mandatory. The role includes neuro and orthopedic procedures such as total joints, spine fusions, fractures, and craniotomies. The facility has 12 operating suites specializing in orthopedic and neurological surgeries. Special equipment includes stealth navigation, microscopes, c-arms, mini c-arms, and neuro monitoring systems. Candidates must be able to float to sister locations as required. Weekly patient ratios are maintained at 1:1.
