Job Posting TitleProduction SupervisorJob Description SummaryThe role of Production Supervisor is to lead people and operations to successfully achieve the goal of safety, quality, and productivity. This role is responsible for employee relations, coaching employees, and ensuring that all safety practices are followed. Additionally, production requirements must be tracked and monitored daily to ensure high quality and efficient production.This is a 2nd Shift Supervisor position but will train on 1st shift for 2-3 months.Job Description:Oversee daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and production goalsAssign work and manage staffing to ensure efficient operations.Train employees and provide ongoing coaching and development.Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.Work closely with other departments and shift supervisors to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.Communicate production results, issues, and opportunities to management.Direct, supervise and coordinate production operations.React to and take action upon non-value added or cost issues that may arise during production activities.Recognize and react to equipment issues.Provide input to management to facilitate effective cost reduction, work simplification, scheduling, or other continuous improvement measures.Review performance, coach for improvement, and set objectives for all reporting to this position.Recommend personnel actions, changes of assignment, training, wages, etc. for department.Coordinate quality efforts and achieve quality standards.Champion 5S and housekeeping programs.This is a 2nd Shift position that will train on 1st shift for 2-3 months.Required Skills and Education3-5 Years supervisory experience in a PM manufacturing facility is highly preferred.Ability to communicate using both written and verbal forms of communication.Experience handling complex employee relations matters.Solid computer skills.About Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
